Travel again with Pastor Blackstone from Ellsworth, Maine, to the fabled land of India. This will be Blackstone's seventh trip and his most wide-ranging journey as he travels to six states to visit young people he met during his teaching days at Kerala Baptist Bible College, fulfilling a promise once made to these students that one day he would visit their ministries and labor with them in the Lord's work. From a college librarian in Tamil Nadu to a church planter in West Bengal; from a church pastor in Kerala to three young men called the Torchbearers in Assam, this trip was to better know where these Indian friends settled and to get to know how to best pray for and support them. This excursion takes the pastor from the southern tip of India to the border with Bhutan. Along the way there are a number of surprises, including unexpectedly meeting a 2006 student and her family at a small mountain church and being asked to speak at the dedication service of the New Kangazha Baptist Church. Eventually the tour will number over eight thousand miles. Come along on this visit to the sweet Church of Christ in India!
