The Gospel of Matthew contains a chain of memorable mountains worthy of a spiritual journey. This book invites the reader to climb seven strategic mountains in the first Gospel. On each mountain we will see Jesus engaged in a spiritual practice and learn a lesson about being a more faithful disciple. In Matthew, the mountains are significant not only as places to meet God but also as sacred sites which reveal the identity and ministry of Jesus as God's Messiah and God's Son.
Actual mountain climbing experience and expertise in Greek and Hebrew are not prerequisites. Requirements are an openness to learning, a commitment to the journey, and a spirit of adventure.
