The Devil's Minions Attack tells the story of an angry Lucifer, frustrated in his attempt to stop the Glory Child, Jonathan, who has created a design for a machine which will feed the world. Lucifer already tried to kidnap the boy in the previous book in the Evangelina Warrior Angel series,
The Search for the Glory Child. Now frustrated, stymied, and embarrassed by a newly-minted guardian angel, Evangelina, he decides to have the boy assassinated. Lucifer is hamstrung by his agreement with God to never kill a human. To avoid a conflict with the Almighty, he calls upon the demon of assassination, Andras, and enlists him to corrupt a human being into doing the killing for him. The story recounts Andras's schemes to kill the boy. Evangelina and Nori, the angel's human ally, attempt to parry the demon's plans of death and protect the boy from harm.
